About Candidate
I am a Civil Engineer with a BEng from the University of Science and Technology (Namibia) and an MEng in Geotechnical Engineering from Stellenbosch University. I currently work on the technical front utilising my engineering background and I am currently developing my strategic business knowledge through my MBA studies at the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business.
With 5 years of industry experience, I have worked extensively in tailings management and geotechnical engineering, contributing to the design, investigation, and monitoring of Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs). My experience spans both field and analytical work, including:
• Assisting the Engineer of Record for TSFs
• Piezometer monitoring and interpretation
• TSF prefeasibility studies and Detailed Designs
• Cone Penetration Testing (CPTu) field supervision
• Test pits, diamond drilling, and percussion drilling supervision
• Geotechnical data analysis and subsurface characterization
• Foundation inspections
• Site Construction Quality Assurance Supervision
My technical interests include geotechnical foundation design, retaining structures, and soil–structure interaction. Through my MBA studies, I am expanding my focus to include strategic decision-making, infrastructure investment, and the business dimensions of engineering projects.
I am particularly passionate about sustainable engineering solutions, risk mitigation in Mining sector, and bridging the gap between engineering expertise and strategic business leadership.
