Job Overview
This role involves creating engaging multimedia content for BBC’s digital platforms, including video, audio, and interactive features. The ideal candidate will collaborate with editors, producers, and field reporters to produce content that meets BBC’s editorial guidelines and resonates with Namibian and international audiences. Key Responsibilities
- Develop original video and audio content for BBC News websites and social media
- Collaborate with journalists to conceptualize and execute multimedia stories
- Edit and produce content using Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro
- Ensure all content adheres to BBC editorial standards and copyright laws
- Conduct field research and interviews to support multimedia projects
Required Skills
- Proficiency in video editing, motion graphics, and audio production
- Strong understanding of storytelling techniques for digital platforms
- Experience with social media content optimization
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Creative problem-solving in fast-paced environments
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Journalism, Communications, or equivalent experience.
Experience
2-3 years in multimedia content creation, preferably in a news or broadcast environment.
Salary
25,000 – 35,000 SSP per month, depending on experience.
