Job Overview
This position supports the development of integrated water management systems for expanding urban areas in northern Namibia. The role combines technical expertise with community engagement to ensure equitable access to clean water resources. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement urban water distribution networks
- Conduct hydrological assessments for climate change adaptation
- Develop water reuse and recycling strategies
- Coordinate with municipal authorities on infrastructure planning
- Monitor water quality in urban distribution systems
- Prepare technical reports for stakeholders
Required Skills
- Proficiency in water modeling software (e.g., SWMM)
- Experience with GIS mapping for water infrastructure
- Strong analytical skills for water demand forecasting
- Knowledge of Namibian water regulations
- Excellent project management capabilities
- Bilingual communication skills (English and Afrikaans)
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or related field

Salary
40,000 – 50,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Working Environment
