Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Materials Research Scientist to join our team in Swakopmund, Namibia. As a Sustainable Materials Research Scientist, you will play a key role in the development of new sustainable materials and technologies that can help us reduce our environmental footprint and promote sustainable practices.

Your main responsibilities will include conducting research and development activities to identify new sustainable materials and technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new products and processes, and working with external partners to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in sustainable materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and development activities to identify new sustainable materials and technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new products and processes
  • Work with external partners to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in sustainable materials
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders on sustainable materials and technologies

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as materials science, chemistry, or engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in research and development, preferably in the field of sustainable materials
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable materials and technologies, including their properties, applications, and limitations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions

Education

Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as materials science, chemistry, or engineering

Experience

At least 5 years of experience in research and development, preferably in the field of sustainable materials
