Job Overview:As a Sustainable Agriculture Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects that promote sustainable agriculture practices in Namibia. You will work closely with farmers, extension officers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement projects that improve agricultural productivity, reduce environmental impact, and enhance the livelihoods of farmers and their families. You will also be responsible for managing project budgets, timelines, and resources, and for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sustainable agriculture projects that promote agricultural productivity, reduce environmental impact, and enhance the livelihoods of farmers and their families.
- Lead and manage project teams, including farmers, extension officers, and other stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with farmers, extension officers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project objectives are met.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress, and make recommendations for improvement.
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Agriculture or related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in project management, preferably in the agricultural sector.
- Proven track record of leading and managing projects that promote sustainable agriculture practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with farmers, extension officers, and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make recommendations for improvement.
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field.
