Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Cartographer to join our team in Mariental, Namibia. As a Digital Cartographer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and up-to-date digital maps and geospatial data. You will work closely with our team of GIS analysts and developers to design and implement mapping solutions that support our clients’ needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date digital maps and geospatial data
  • Design and implement mapping solutions that support client needs
  • Collaborate with GIS analysts and developers to integrate mapping solutions with other systems
  • Conduct quality control and assurance on digital maps and geospatial data
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on the use of digital maps and geospatial data

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital cartography or a related field
  • Proficiency in GIS software, including ArcGIS and QGIS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
