Job Overview
The Retail Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store performance, including sales growth, inventory control, staff development, and customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Director, you will implement strategic initiatives, ensure compliance with company policies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This position plays a pivotal role in driving profitability and enhancing the shopping experience for customers in Karasburg, aligning with Pick n Pay’s commitment to excellence in the retail sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily store operations, ensuring seamless execution of merchandising, sales, and service standards.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve sales targets and improve profitability.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock audits, and coordinate with the supply chain team to minimize shrinkage.
- Recruit, train, and mentor store staff, fostering a high‑performance team culture.
- Implement visual merchandising guidelines and promotional campaigns to maximize product visibility.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards, including food safety and labor laws.
- Analyze market trends and customer feedback to adapt store offerings and enhance the shopping experience.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly performance reports to senior management.

Salary
