Job Overview
We are seeking an Environmental Monitoring Specialist to join our team in Otavi, Namibia. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and assessing the environmental impacts of our conservation projects.
The Environmental Monitoring Specialist will work closely with our conservation team to design and implement monitoring programs, collect and analyze data, and provide recommendations for improving our conservation efforts.
This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement monitoring programs to assess the environmental impacts of our conservation projects
- Collect and analyze data on environmental indicators such as water quality, soil health, and biodiversity
- Provide recommendations for improving our conservation efforts based on monitoring data
- Work closely with our conservation team to develop and implement conservation plans
- Collaborate with local communities and stakeholders to promote sustainable livelihoods and conservation practices
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in environmental monitoring and conservation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
