Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Accessibility Specialist to join our team in Gobabis, Namibia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products and services are accessible to people with disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital accessibility and a passion for creating inclusive products and services. They will be responsible for conducting accessibility audits, developing accessibility guidelines, and providing training and support to our development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct accessibility audits of our products and services
  • Develop and maintain accessibility guidelines and standards
  • Provide training and support to our development teams on accessibility best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accessibility is integrated into our product development lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain relationships with accessibility stakeholders, including disability organizations and advocacy groups

Required Skills

  • 5 years of experience in digital accessibility
  • Strong knowledge of accessibility guidelines and standards, including WCAG 2.1 and Section 508
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
