Job Overview

The Customer Experience Manager will lead the development and execution of strategies that elevate the overall shopper journey across all Woolworths touchpoints. Reporting to the Head of Retail Operations, this role will collaborate with marketing, store operations, e‑commerce and analytics teams to design seamless, memorable experiences that drive loyalty and revenue. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive customer experience strategy aligned with corporate goals.
  • Analyze customer feedback, purchase patterns and market trends to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead cross‑functional projects that enhance in‑store, online and mobile interactions.
  • Set service quality standards, monitor performance metrics and drive corrective actions.
  • Train and mentor store managers and front‑line staff on best practices for customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to create targeted campaigns that reinforce brand loyalty.
  • Oversee the rollout of loyalty programs, personalized offers and omnichannel initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior leadership highlighting impact on sales, retention and Net Promoter Score.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical ability with proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership experience in a retail or service‑focused environment.
  • Strategic thinking combined with hands‑on execution capability.
  • Customer‑centric mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and e‑commerce platforms.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in Customer Experience Management, Data Analytics or Project Management are considered an advantage.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of five years’ experience in customer experience, retail operations or related fields, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience within a multi‑channel retail environment and a proven track record of driving measurable improvements in customer satisfaction are essential.

Salary

The role offers a competitive salary range of SSP 250,000 to SSP 350,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the total remuneration package.
