Job Overview
The Director of Revenue Management will lead the development and execution of pricing, inventory, and distribution strategies for tourism assets in the Katima Mulilo region. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive revenue management strategies for hotels, lodges, and tour operators in Katima Mulilo.
- Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and demand patterns to optimize room rates and package offers.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align pricing with promotional campaigns and seasonal events.
- Maintain and enhance the revenue management system, ensuring accurate data capture and reporting.
- Prepare monthly revenue forecasts, performance dashboards, and variance analyses for senior leadership.
- Train and mentor regional partners on best practices in revenue optimization and yield management.
- Ensure compliance with NTB’s sustainability and community‑benefit guidelines while pursuing revenue growth.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in revenue management software (e.g., IDeaS, RevPAR Guru) and Excel.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Deep understanding of hospitality pricing structures, distribution channels, and OTA dynamics.
- Leadership capability to drive cross‑functional initiatives and mentor regional teams.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages (e.g., Lozi, Tswana) is an advantage.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Tourism, Economics, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certification such as Certified Revenue Management Executive (CRME) is highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of five years of progressive experience in revenue management within hotels, resorts, or tourism agencies. Proven track record of increasing RevPAR, occupancy, and overall profitability is essential. Experience working in emerging markets or with multicultural teams will be considered an asset.
Salary
The role offers a competitive salary range of SSP 250,000 to SSP 350,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the compensation package.
