The Precision Mining Geologist will play a critical role in the resource definition and extraction strategy at our Tsumeb operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-precision 3D geological models of ore bodies using Leapfrog or Micromine.
  • Oversee daily grade control drilling programs and interpret geochemical data to refine mine plans.
  • Collaborate with mining engineers to optimize blast patterns and minimize dilution of ore.
  • Conduct detailed structural mapping of pit walls and underground faces to identify new mineralization zones.
  • Lead the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) protocols for all geological sampling.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports for stakeholders regarding resource estimation and depletion.
  • Mentor junior geologists and technicians on precision sampling techniques and data interpretation.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in structural geology and mineralogy specifically related to base metals.
  • Advanced proficiency in geological modeling software and GIS tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex geochemical and geophysical datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating between the exploration team and mine operations.

Education
