Job Overview

The Process Automation Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems that control the beverage production line. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, program, and commission PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems for bottling and packaging lines.
  • Develop and maintain control logic, recipes, and batch management procedures.
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective automation measures.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to integrate new machinery and retrofit existing assets.
  • Monitor system performance, generate KPIs, and drive continuous improvement projects to increase throughput and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and Coca‑Cola quality protocols.
  • Provide technical support and training to operators and maintenance personnel.
  • Document automation designs, configurations, and change‑over procedures in accordance with corporate standards.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., Siemens S7, Allen‑Bradley, Schneider).
  • Experience with SCADA/HMI platforms such as WinCC, Ignition, or FactoryTalk.
  • Strong understanding of process control, instrumentation, and industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Profinet).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
  • Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISA‑88, ISA‑95, and ISO 9001.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Professional certifications in PLC programming, control systems, or Six Sigma are advantageous.

Experience

Minimum of five years’ hands‑on experience in industrial automation within a manufacturing environment, preferably in food and beverage or related sectors. Demonstrated track record of delivering automation projects from concept to commissioning is essential.

Salary
