Key Responsibilities
- Directly manage and optimize the deployment of the regional heavy-duty vehicle fleet to ensure maximum utilization.
- Implement advanced route optimization strategies to reduce fuel consumption and transit times.
- Oversee driver training programs focusing on safety, fuel efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure fleet longevity.
- Analyze logistics data to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions in the supply chain.
- Collaborate with customs and border officials to ensure smooth transit through Oshikango.
- Manage relationships with third-party transport providers and maintenance contractors.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Fleet Management Software and GPS tracking systems.
- In-depth knowledge of Namibian and regional cross-border transport regulations.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex logistics and performance data.
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with drivers, clients, and stakeholders.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certifications in Fleet Management or Lean Six Sigma are highly advantageous.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in fleet management or large-scale logistics operations. Proven experience in managing cross-border transport within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region is preferred. You should have a track record of managing large teams and significant capital assets.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 65,000 SSP, depending on experience and qualifications.
