Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Agriculture Extension Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to farmers, in order to promote sustainable agriculture practices and improve their livelihoods.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, with a focus on sustainable practices and extension services. They will be expected to work closely with farmers, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote best practices in agriculture and improve the overall productivity of the sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and support to farmers, in order to promote sustainable agriculture practices and improve their livelihoods.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for farmers, on sustainable agriculture practices and techniques.
- Develop and implement extension programs, to promote sustainable agriculture practices and improve the overall productivity of the sector.
- Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders, to promote sustainable agriculture practices and improve the livelihoods of farmers.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of extension programs, on the livelihoods of farmers and the overall productivity of the sector.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in agriculture, with a focus on sustainable practices and extension services.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable agriculture practices and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
