Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Livestock Nutritionist to join our team in Okahandja, Namibia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable livestock nutrition programs that promote animal health, productivity, and environmental sustainability.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal nutrition, with experience in developing and implementing sustainable livestock nutrition programs. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with farmers, veterinarians, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable livestock nutrition programs that promote animal health, productivity, and environmental sustainability
- Conduct research and analysis to identify best practices in sustainable livestock nutrition
- Collaborate with farmers, veterinarians, and other stakeholders to promote the adoption of sustainable livestock nutrition practices
- Develop and deliver training programs to farmers and other stakeholders on sustainable livestock nutrition practices
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainable livestock nutrition programs
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Nutrition, or related field
- 5 years of experience in animal nutrition, with a focus on sustainable livestock nutrition
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively with farmers, veterinarians, and other stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Education
