1. Position Summary
The Financial Advisor / Insurance Sales Consultant is responsible for delivering client-focused financial and insurance solutions while achieving sales targets. The role involves building strong client relationships, identifying financial needs, and recommending suitable products in line with regulatory standards.
This is a remote-based, target-driven position suited for self-motivated individuals with strong sales and client service experience.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Sales & Client Acquisition
- Identify and engage potential clients through digital platforms and referrals
- Promote and sell insurance and financial products
- Achieve and exceed individual sales targets
- Maintain a strong and active sales pipeline
B. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Provide professional financial advice tailored to client needs
- Deliver excellent customer service and ongoing support
- Handle client queries and resolve issues efficiently
C. Compliance & Administration
- Ensure adherence to FAIS Fit and Proper requirements
- Maintain accurate client records using CRM systems
- Follow regulatory and company compliance procedures
- Keep up to date with financial regulations and product knowledge
D. Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Track sales performance and client interactions
- Provide regular updates and reports to management
- Monitor and improve conversion rates and client retention
3. Minimum Requirements
Education
- Grade 12 (Matric) – essential
- Post-matric qualification in Finance, Business, or related field – advantageous
Compliance
- FAIS compliant (Fit and Proper requirements) – essential
- RE5 Certification – advantageous / may be required
Experience
- Previous experience in:
- Insurance sales
- Financial services
- Client service roles
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
