Job Overview

This role is central to advancing Namibia’s hydrogen energy goals. The successful candidate will oversee project planning, execution, and coordination for green hydrogen production facilities. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Namibia’s energy transition while working with international partners and local stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management for hydrogen energy initiatives
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, environmental experts, and supply chain partners
  • Develop project budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with national and international energy regulations
  • Monitor project performance against KPIs and sustainability targets
  • Engage with government agencies and community stakeholders

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in energy project management (preferably hydrogen or renewable energy)
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Technical knowledge of hydrogen production processes and infrastructure
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Afrikaans is an advantage

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Renewable Energy
  • Master’s Degree or PMP Certification preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in energy project management
  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Track record in hydrogen or clean energy sectors

Salary

120,000 – 180,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience.
