Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Economic Development Manager to join our team in Rundu, Namibia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of economic development strategies and programs that promote sustainable growth and poverty reduction in the region. The Economic Development Manager will work closely with government officials, civil society organizations, and the private sector to identify opportunities for economic growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement economic development strategies and programs that promote sustainable growth and poverty reduction
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for economic growth and development
- Collaborate with government officials, civil society organizations, and the private sector to promote economic development
- Provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to government officials and civil society organizations
- Develop and manage budgets and work plans for economic development programs
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in economics, business administration, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in economic development, preferably in a developing country context
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team and build partnerships with diverse stakeholders
Education
Bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, or a related field
