Job Overview
The Economic Development Manager will be responsible for leading the World Bank’s economic development program in Namibia. The successful candidate will have a strong background in economic development, and experience working in a developing country context. The Economic Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the World Bank’s economic development strategy in Namibia, and for working closely with the Government of Namibia and other stakeholders to support the country’s development goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the World Bank’s economic development strategy in Namibia
- Work closely with the Government of Namibia and other stakeholders to support the country’s development goals
- Provide technical assistance and capacity building to support economic development in Namibia
- Support policy reforms and development projects in Namibia
- Manage a team of economic development specialists and provide guidance and support as needed
Required Skills
- Strong background in economic development
- Experience working in a developing country context
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or a related field
Experience
5-10 years of experience in economic development, preferably in a developing country context
