Job Overview

The Curriculum Development Specialist will lead the design, development, and implementation of curriculum frameworks for primary and secondary education in Namibia. This role involves collaborating with local schools, government bodies, and international partners to ensure that curricula are culturally relevant, standards‑aligned, and equipped to meet the evolving needs of learners. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive curriculum packages for primary and secondary education, aligned with international standards and Namibian educational policies.
• Conduct needs assessments with schools, teachers, and stakeholders to identify gaps and opportunities for curriculum enhancement.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and technology teams to integrate digital learning tools and resources.
• Lead pilot testing of new curricula, gather feedback, and refine materials based on data‑driven insights.
• Provide guidance and support to teachers on curriculum implementation, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
• Monitor and evaluate curriculum effectiveness through performance metrics, learner outcomes, and stakeholder surveys.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of global education trends, standards, and best practices to inform curriculum innovation.
• Prepare detailed documentation, reports, and presentation materials for internal and external audiences.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 250,000 to SSP 350,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be provided.
