Job Overview
The Network Planning Engineer will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and expanding MTN Namibia’s radio access network (RAN) to ensure seamless coverage, capacity, and quality of service across the Oshikango region and beyond. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive radio network planning, including coverage, capacity, and interference analysis.
- Develop detailed rollout and optimization plans for new sites and upgrades.
- Collaborate with RF, transmission, and core network teams to ensure integrated solutions.
- Utilize planning software (e.g., Atoll, Planet) to model and simulate network performance.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Monitor network KPIs post‑deployment and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with national telecom regulations and MTN standards.
- Support budgeting and cost‑estimation activities for network projects.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of LTE, 5G NR, and legacy 2G/3G technologies.
