Job Overview

The Airport Operations Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing daily airport operations at Opuwo Airport. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, and analyze operational data from flight schedules, passenger processing systems, and cargo handling platforms.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance dashboards highlighting key metrics such as on‑time performance, turnaround times, and resource utilization.
• Identify operational inefficiencies, propose corrective actions, and track implementation outcomes.
• Coordinate with airline representatives, ground service providers, and security teams to resolve real‑time operational issues.
• Support the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with international aviation regulations.
• Participate in emergency response planning and conduct post‑incident analyses to improve safety protocols.
• Assist in forecasting airport capacity needs and contribute to long‑term infrastructure planning.
• Provide regular briefings to senior management on operational trends and improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Excellent knowledge of airport operations, including airside and landside processes.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
• Familiarity with aviation safety standards (ICAO, IATA) and regulatory compliance.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Airport Executive (CAE) or similar are advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 3‑5 years of experience in airport operations, airline coordination, or aviation analytics. Experience with airport management systems (AMS) and familiarity with the Namibian aviation regulatory environment will be considered a strong asset.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 180,000 to SSP 240,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be provided.
