Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Heritage Preservation Specialist to join our team in Otjimbingwe, Namibia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital preservation strategies for cultural heritage sites in Namibia. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement digital preservation strategies for cultural heritage sites in Namibia
  • Conduct site assessments and identify digital preservation needs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement digital preservation plans
  • Provide training and capacity building for local communities and stakeholders on digital preservation techniques
  • Develop and maintain digital preservation policies and procedures

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Cultural Heritage Preservation, Digital Humanities, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in digital preservation and cultural heritage management
  • Strong knowledge of digital preservation standards and best practices
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Heritage Preservation, Digital Humanities, or related field

Experience

5 years of experience in digital preservation and cultural heritage management
