Job Overview

The Environmental Monitoring Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing environmental monitoring programs to assess the impacts of human activities on the natural environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental science and monitoring, and experience working in a similar role.

The main objective of this position is to provide technical support to the conservation team in the development and implementation of environmental monitoring programs. The Environmental Monitoring Specialist will work closely with other team members to ensure that monitoring programs are aligned with the organization’s conservation goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement environmental monitoring programs to assess the impacts of human activities on the natural environment.
• Develop and maintain databases to store and analyze environmental monitoring data.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure that monitoring programs are aligned with the organization’s conservation goals and objectives.
• Provide technical support to the conservation team in the development and implementation of environmental monitoring programs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to promote the organization’s conservation goals and objectives.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in environmental monitoring and conservation.
• Strong background in environmental science and monitoring.
• Experience working in a similar role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
