Job Overview
The Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that our aquaculture operations are conducted in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner. This will involve developing and implementing sustainable aquaculture practices, monitoring water quality and fish health, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in aquaculture and a proven track record of developing and implementing sustainable aquaculture practices. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices that minimize our impact on the environment
- Monitor water quality and fish health, and take corrective action as necessary
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
- Develop and maintain relationships with farmers, regulators, and industry partners
- Provide training and support to farmers and other stakeholders on sustainable aquaculture practices
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Aquaculture or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in aquaculture, with a focus on sustainable aquaculture practices
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including farmers, regulators, and industry partners
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Aquaculture or related field
Experience
At least 5 years of experience in aquaculture, with a focus on sustainable aquaculture practices
