Job Overview
This role focuses on designing and implementing smart water systems to optimize urban water distribution, reduce waste, and enhance drought preparedness in Oshakati. Key Responsibilities
- Develop smart water distribution models using GIS and real-time data analytics
- Collaborate with municipal authorities to upgrade aging water infrastructure
- Conduct hydrological assessments for climate change adaptation
- Implement leak detection systems using IoT-enabled sensors
- Prepare technical reports and sustainability impact assessments
Required Skills
- Expertise in water resource management software (e.g., WaterGEMS)
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis
- Knowledge of Namibian water policy and regulatory frameworks
- Strong project management and cross-sector collaboration skills
- Experience with smart city technologies
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or related field
- Master’s degree preferred but not required

Salary
120,000 – 150,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience.
