Job Overview

The IoT Solutions Engineer will design, develop, and implement Internet of Things (IoT) platforms that enable smart services for agriculture, mining, logistics, and urban infrastructure in Namibia. Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and deploy end‑to‑end IoT solutions for diverse industry verticals.
  • Collaborate with product managers to define solution roadmaps aligned with market needs.
  • Integrate sensors, gateways, and cloud services using industry‑standard protocols.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, pilot projects, and proof‑of‑concept deployments.
  • Ensure security compliance and data privacy throughout the solution lifecycle.

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvements.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in embedded systems, microcontrollers, and sensor integration.
  • Strong knowledge of IoT communication protocols (MQTT, CoAP, LoRaWAN, NB‑IoT).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, or Google Cloud IoT.
  • Programming expertise in C/C++, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Understanding of networking, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑focused mindset.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in IoT, cloud services, or cybersecurity are advantageous.
